USA Cricket update to membership: Relationship with American Cricket Enterprises

USA Cricket is committed to the growth, professionalism, and long-term success of cricket in the United States. After receiving many inquiries over the past week, we are providing an update to our members regarding the current status of our commercial agreement with American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), the parent ownership group of Major and Minor League Cricket, under the terms of our 2019 Term Sheet agreement.

USA Cricket is incredibly supportive of and committed to the continued and long-term success of Major and Minor League Cricket. This season Major League Cricket has broken into new markets and has contributed immensely to the visibility and success of the sport of cricket in the United States. Minor League Cricket continues to grow and fill an important role in the development of playing opportunities for our domestic player base, as well as coaches, umpires and administrators.

USA Cricket’s relationship with American Cricket Enterprises is far more complex and extensive than a simple sanction to operate. As part of the agreement signed in 2019, Our partnership with ACE also carries certain obligations for MLC to assist as a partner in the development of American cricket. This includes financial support for the USA National Teams and players, and infrastructure development construction requirements for things like cricket stadiums and a high-performance training center to be used for the development of USA Cricket teams and athletes.

We remain committed to ensuring that all parties and partners meet their contractual obligations to advance and grow the game of cricket in a mutually beneficial way. On June 24, 2025, USA Cricket has formally communicated certain concerns to ACE and requested timely and transparent responses. This includes, but is not limited to, ACE’s contractual obligations to financially support the USA National Teams and to develop critical cricket infrastructure as envisioned by the contract. We are hoping for a favorable outcome to these discussions.
