The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the India U19 squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2023. The governing body has named a strong 15-member squad and apart from that they have named three travelling standby players as well.
Uday Saharan will captain the side with Saumy Kumar Pandey being his deputy. The squad also has two wicketkeepers in Aravelly Avanish Rao and Innesh Mahajan. It’ll be an opportunity for young guys to showcase their talent and extend their dominance in the U19 Asia Cup.
India, who are the defending champions, have won the title record eight times and would be hoping to make it 9. Apart from the main squad and traveling reserves, BCCI has also named four additional reserve players. The reserve players, however, will not be part of the touring contingent.
The young players have been toiling hard in domestic cricket and it’ll be a massive opportunity for them to make themselves name. The tournament will begin on 8th December. India will open their account against Afghanistan at the ICC Academy Oval – 1.
