The third Test against Pakistan on his home ground of Sydney was his last outing for Australia in the whites. He has also retired from ODI cricket and will now only focus on T20 cricket as the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is approaching.
AB de Villiers and David Warner have shared the dressing room pretty early in the IPL for Delhi Daredevils. The South African legend revealed how he was pretty sure at first impression that Warner was going to become a superstar for Australia in the coming years. He also said that Warner is a huge fighter as he went through a lot of controversies but always made a comeback.

He was a fantastic player right from the word go and he has put up his hand for one of the best all-round cricketers of all time. David Warner Will Play In The T20 World Cup
The Australian opener has announced his retirement from the Test and ODI format of the game but he is expected to play the T20 World Cup for Australia which is scheduled in June 2024. The World Cup will be hosted jointly by the USA and the West Indies. Warner is likely to announce his retirement from all forms of cricket after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup.
David Warner will focus on playing the cash-rich T20 leagues and make the most of his last few years in competitive cricket. He already plays in the Indian Premier League for Delhi Capitals. He is one of the most successful overseas players in the IPL and also has a title as a captain for Sunrisers Hyderabad which he won in 2016.
David Warner has won Two ODI World Cups (2015,2023), a T20 World Cup (2021), and the World Test Championship (2023) with Australia and had one of the most decorated careers with the Australian team. He now aims to win another ICC title with his national team to put the last feather on his international cap. He was the Player of the Match in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2021 where Australia defeated New Zealand to become the T20 World Champions for the first time.
