Fans on Twitter reacted after the Pakistan Cricket Team suffered a massive collapse in match 12 of the ICC World Cup 2023 against India. It was a disappointing batting display from the Babar Azam-led side at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as they were bundled out for just 191 runs.
Pakistan were asked to bat first and with the kind of start they had it seemed that they would go past 300 runs. Abdullah Shafique (20) and Imam-ul-Haq (36) played some breathtaking strokes and added 41 runs for the opening partnership.
However, they both wasted the starts they got. Captain Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) then steadied the innings and added 82 runs partnership. They put Indian bowlers under real pressure but Mohammed Siraj broke the stand as he sent the Pakistan skipper packing.
Babar Azam’s wicket triggered the Pakistan collapse. At one stage they were 155/3 and then within a flash were bundled out for just 191 runs. Indian bowlers were all over them as they didn’t know what was happening also jam packed crowd at Ahmedabad put pressure on them.
Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets each and put Pakistan in trouble. The Pakistan batters played some bad shots as well. They lost their last 8 wickets for just 36 runs. Apart from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, no other batter crossed the 40-run mark. They would now be hoping to keep things tight with the ball. On the other hand, India would be hoping to chase the target as quickly as possible.
