Shubman Gill Bats In The Nets

A photo was shared on social media in which Shubman Gill was seen batting in the nets. According to reports, he batted for close to an hour during the practice session. Recently, he arrived in Ahmedabad where India are set to take on Pakistan. The encounter takes place on October 14.

Shubman Gill is a crucial member of Team India in the ICC World Cup 2023. Earlier, he traveled to Chennai ahead of the opening clash against Australia. However, he was hospitalized for contracting dengue. Later, he did not travel with the squad to Delhi for their match against Afghanistan.

The right-handed batsman arrived in Ahmedabad after being discharged from hospital. However, his selection in the IND vs PAK match is not yet confirmed. Since Gill has started batting in the nets, he might be picked in the clash against Pakistan.

Ishan Kishan, who opened the innings with Rohit Sharma in the absence of Shubman Gill, gave a flop show in the opening match against Australia. He got out for a duck in the match. In the next encounter, he showed a better performance hitting 47 runs against Afghanistan.
