NGC Announces Call for Applications and Timelines for Election of League, Club, and Individual Directors in 2025 Elections and Finalized Peer Review Lists

September 6, 2025

The Nominating & Governance Committee (NGC) of USA Cricket is pleased to issue this initial announcement for the 2025 Board elections for the League Director, Club Director, and Individual Director positions. These elections mark another important step in strengthening governance and ensuring that members across the cricket community have a voice in shaping the future of the sport in the United States.

USA Cricket NGC Chair Nisarg Patel reiterated the importance of these elections:

“These elections are vital to ensuring strong, transparent, and representative governance for cricket in the United States. A fully seated and engaged Board of Directors is essential for advancing professionalism, credibility, and growth both domestically and internationally. We encourage all eligible members to actively participate in this process and help shape the next phase of USA Cricket’s development.”

This initial announcement serves to solicit nominations for the open positions, which will be followed by the screening and shortlisting of this list based upon qualifications and eligibility. This will be followed by a subsequent announcement presenting the shortlisted Candidates who will compete for their respective positions via elections in accordance with the process set forth in USA Cricket’s Constitution.

Eligibility to vote in this election, or to contest as a nominee, will be determined by inclusion on the final, approved membership lists (Individual, Club, and League) that resulted from the recently completed peer-review process. Those lists, which have been validated by an external auditor, can be found here for individual voters, here for eligible clubs, and here for eligible leagues.

Nominations for the open Director positions will be accepted from today, September 6th through September 15th. Any individual who wishes to be considered, or to be put forward by another person for consideration, is invited to apply by no later than 11:59 p.m. PT on September 15th, 2025; all applications must be sent to ngc@usacricket.org.

Eligible Candidates must be at least 18 years of age; and citizens or permanent residents of, and residing in, the United States of America. Other details of eligibility criteria and an application form can be downloaded by clicking here and here.

After the conclusion of the application period, the NGC will review and vet all candidates for eligibility as per the constitutional requirements and will then make a final announcement of the total candidate list, followed by the election.

USA Cricket has previously underscored that member engagement through these elections is a cornerstone of its compliance with international standards and U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee governance expectations. Today’s announcement further demonstrates the organization’s commitment to building a sustainable and member-driven future for the sport.
