Ravindra Jadeja is nearing his century in the ongoing third Test between India and England which is being played at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. India won the toss and skipper Rohit Sharma elected to bat first.

The first hour saw India losing three wickets for a mere 33 runs when Ravindra Jadeja took the crease with skipper Rohit Sharma. Both Sharma and Jadeja added 204 runs for the fourth wicket and put India in a strong position. Australia women’s cricketer Amanda-Jade Wellington has hailed Ravindra Jadeja as the best all-rounder.

Ravindra Jadeja is playing this Test match at his home ground of Rajkot and he is just a few runs away from his fourth Test century. He is currently the No.1 Test all-rounder in the ICC rankings and has been very consistent with his performance in Test cricket with the bat and the ball.

He scored 87 in the first innings of the Hyderabad Test and also took three wickets with the ball. However, he missed out on the second Test in Vizag due to a hamstring injury.

Ravindra Jadeja has played 70 Test matches and has smashed 21 half-centuries and three centuries with the bat and has taken 12 five-wicket hauls with the ball. His numbers speak of his galore in Test cricket and he is undoubtedly the greatest all-rounder in the World currently. He has a batting average of 37.24 whereas a bowling average of 24.43 in Test cricket.

India and England are clashing in the third Test of the five-match series at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. The Test series is currently levelled 1-1 as the hosts lost the first Test in Hyderabad by 28 runs whereas they made a terrific comeback to win the second Test in Vizag by 106 runs. Both teams have a chance to take a lead in the series by winning the Test.

India has not lost a Test series at home since the defeat against England in 2012 which was a 2-1 defeat against Sir Alastair Cook-led England side. The hosts have won 16 consecutive Test series at home and are expecting to win the 17th one which is being played against England.
