USA Cricket Announces Squad for 2025 ICC Americas U19 World Cup Qualifier in Georgia

July 27, 2025

USA Cricket is pleased to announce the Men’s U19 squad selected to represent the United States at the upcoming ICC Americas Regional U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, which will be hosted from August 7-17, 2025 at the Param Veers Sports Complex in Rydal, Georgia.

The tournament will feature four teams — USACanadaBermuda, and Argentina —competing for the sole qualification spot available from the Americas region for the 2026 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup. The event forms a crucial part of the ICC’s global pathway, offering the region’s most promising young cricketers the opportunity to compete at the highest level in their age group.

In January 2025, the USA U19 squad delivered a historic performance at the CSA Cubs Week tournament in South Africa, finishing as champions against a strong field of South African provincial teams. The team capped off an impressive campaign with a 105-run victory over the Southern Superstars in the final. The title marked a major milestone for the squad and provided valuable international experience ahead of the Americas Qualifier.

The USA U19s head into the Qualifier following a strong showing at the recently concluded 2025 CWI Rising Stars U19 Championship in the West Indies. Two USA teams participated in the event, with USA 1 finishing the group stage unbeaten and advancing to the final, where they were narrowly defeated by Barbados by 6 wickets. The event provided vital competitive exposure for the players and contributed significantly to final squad selection.

Srini Salver, Men’s Player Director and Chair of the Men’s Cricket Committee, said: “The ICC Regional Qualifiers is the event we’ve all eagerly anticipated. Our preparations have been solid, especially coming off a strong showing at the recently concluded Rising Stars event in the Caribbean. We are confident in the talent and commitment of our boys and the support staff, and we wish them the very best as they aim to secure a spot at the World Cup for the second consecutive time.”

The 15-player squad selected for the ICC Americas U19 World Cup Qualifier is as follows: Arjun Mahesh (Captain), Shiv Shani (Vice-Captain), Utkarsh Srivatsava, Amrinder Singh, Sahil Garg, Adnit Jhamb, Nitish Sudhini, Sabarish Parsad, Saharsh Swethan, Adit Kappa, Advait Krishna, Arya Garg, Supransh Kumar, Ansh Rai, and Sahir Bhatia.

Wednesday, August 13 – Bermuda vs USA

Vincent Kumar, Head Coach of the USA Men’s U19 Team, said: “It’s a tremendous honor to lead this USA team into the U19 World Cup Qualifiers. The players have impressed us not just with their talent, but with their temperament, discipline, and belief in the process—particularly during the recent tour to St. Kitts, where we won seven consecutive matches against teams from across the Caribbean. We’re confident this squad has what it takes to compete at a high level and make the nation proud.

That tour provided these players with valuable exposure to competitive conditions in the Caribbean and served as an important part of their development. I also want to acknowledge the efforts of the selection panel in identifying and assembling a squad capable of representing the country with pride.

I wish all the players the very best for the upcoming U19 World Cup Qualifiers.”

USA Cricket congratulates all selected players and support staff and extends its best wishes for a successful campaign on home soil.
