USA Cricket today announced the initiation of a comprehensive peer review process for its individual, club, and league membership lists, a critical step in preparing for upcoming national elections.
While specific election dates will be confirmed following a formal Board resolution, USA Cricket is taking immediate action to ensure that its voter rolls are accurate, transparent, and compliant with its constitution and ICC requirements.
“This is a crucial step forward as we work to restore full operational stability and fulfill our responsibilities to our members, the ICC, and the broader international cricket community,” said USA Cricket Chair Venu Pisike.”
Peer Review Lists:
Only individuals appearing on the final and approved Individual Member list will be eligible to stand as candidates for Individual Member Director, Club Director or League Director positions.
Eligibility Criteria by Election Type:
Individual Director Election Voter Criteria
· Must have a valid email and phone number on file
· Must have a date of birth on file (must be born on or before June 30, 2007)
· Registered as a member by June 30, 2024
· Paid membership as of both 2024 and June 30, 2025
Club Director Election Voter Criteria
· All club members must meet individual director criteria
· Club must have at least 12 active, registered, adult members
· Club must have participated in matches within the past 12 months
· Club must designate a voting representative
League Director Election Voter Criteria
· All individual member and club member requirements must be met
· League must be incorporated in a U.S. state
· Must have governing documents (bylaws, rules, etc.) and a designated leadership group
· Must not be financially or administratively tied to another league
· Must have organized a competition in the past 12 months that lasted at least 5 weeks and included a minimum of 8 teams
· Leagues must designate a voting representative
Review and Challenge Process
Any individual, club, or league that wishes to challenge or update their eligibility during the peer review period must reference specific items from the criteria above.
