World Cup 2023: Danish Kaneria criticizes PCB on complaint against crowd at Ahmedabad

In a surprising turn of events, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed a formal complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding the crowd behaviour at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the high-stakes India vs Pakistan clash in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 14, Saturday. This move has raised eyebrows and drawn strong criticism from former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria, who lashed out at the PCB for their action.

PCB’s formal complaint to ICC

On Tuesday, October 17, PCB took to their official social media account to announce that they had formally registered a complaint with ICC. This complaint pertained to what the PCB described as improper behavior aimed at the Pakistan team during the India vs Pakistan match, along with concerns regarding visa-related delays affecting Pakistani journalists and the absence of a defined visa policy for Pakistan’s cricket supporters.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023. The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023,” PCB mentioned in their tweet.

Danish Kaneria’s cunning reply to PCB

Kaneria reacted strongly to the PCB’s move, expressing sharp disapproval and raising questions about various actions made by the Pakistan team member Mohammad Rizwan and many more.

“Who asked Pakistani journalist Zainab Abbas to comment against India and Hindus? Who asked Mickey Arthur to call ICC event as BCCI event? Who asked Rizwan to perform Namaz in playground? Don’t find faults in others!” Kaneria wrote in his tweet.
