USA Cricket is thrilled to announce their squad for the upcoming women’s home series against the Zimbabwe Women, set to be played at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. The tour will feature three T20Is and two ODIs from April 25 to May 3, 2025.
This series will continue the progression of a growing international rivalry between the two sides, following the USA Women’s tour of Zimbabwe in October 2024, where the team played five ODIs and secured two victories. The upcoming bilateral series is part of USA Cricket’s commitment to increasing international playing opportunities for the Women’s National Team across both formats.
The squad will see a few notable changes. Anika Kolan, who was originally named as the T20I captain, has been ruled out of the series with an injury and Pooja Ganesh will come in as the replacement wicketkeeper. The selectors have also named Mitali Patwardhan to make her senior team debut, as USA Cricket continues the trend of promoting young talent through the national pathway.
Due to scheduling conflicts, two UK-based players were unavailable for selection, and Isani Vaghela will not be available for the ODI leg of the series.
Aditiba Chudasama will serve as captain across both formats. Chetna Reddy Pagydyala has been named Vice-Captain for the T20I squad, while Disha Dhingra will serve as Vice-Captain for the ODIs.

Women’s Cricket Committee Chair Nadia Gruny, said, “We are pleased to welcome Zimbabwe Cricket for our first-ever women’s bilateral T20I and ODI series on home soil. We’re even more excited to build on the momentum of regular international fixtures from the start of the year and give our women the chance to gain crucial ranking points in both formats while building the depth of our squad.”
The upcoming home series against Zimbabwe follows the USA’s first-place finish at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Regional Qualifier in Argentina, held just over a month ago.
USA now advances to the T20 World Cup Qualifier in 2026 and looks forward to a full year of preparation for a chance at a top four finish to make its maiden appearance at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
