World Cup 2023: Pakistan fans break TV sets and mobiles after seeing their team’s dismal batting performance against India

India captain Rohit Sharma’s decision to bowl first after winning the toss at the jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium proved to be effective as his troops restricted Pakistan to a total of 191 runs in 42.5 overs.

Pakistan’s innings

Pakistan’s innings witnessed notable contributions from Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan, who missed his half-century by a solitary run. However, the Indian bowling attack, comprising of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja put up an impressive display, collectively taking wickets and containing the Pakistani batters.

From 153-2 in 29.4 overs, Pakistan lost their remaining 8 wickets for just 38 runs in next 13.1 overs.

Pakistan fans start breaking their TV sets back home

Disappointed by their team’s poor batting performance in the much-awaited clash of the ODI World Cup, Pakistan fans have started breaking their TV sets. According to the media reports, several Pakistan team supporters were spotted throwing the LCD and LED screens on the road side in Karachi and Lahore.
