Beth Mooney recently secured the top spot in the T20I rankings, surpassing Australian teammate Tahlia McGrath. The left-handed batter moved up to third place in the latest ODI batter rankings. England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt holds the top position in the rankings.
Beth Mooney showcased her brilliance with an unbeaten 52 in the first ODI against South Africa in Adelaide. The Australians clinched an eight-wicket victory during the series opener. Her outstanding performance propelled her up one spot in the ODI batter rankings.
Other Than Beth Mooney, Marizanne Kapp Secures Eighth Place In ODI Batters Rankings
During the same ODI match, experienced South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp showcased her prowess with a half-century. Kapp scored 50 runs off 58 deliveries before retiring out. The 34-year-old all-rounder climbed two places to eighth in the ODI rankings.
Australian performers also advanced in the ODI bowling rankings. Ash Gardner moved up two spots to fourth after her economical spell. Kim Garth’s Player of the Match performance resulted in a four-place jump, placing her in 38th position after taking two wickets.
Ellyse Perry contributed with an unbeaten 16 runs and secured the crucial wicket of Tazmin Brits in the match against South Africa. As a result, Ellyse Perry moved up one spot to share the 11th position in the list for ODI all-rounders. Nadine de Klerk advanced three spots to 24th in the same category after scoring 18 runs and taking one wicket.
English spinner Sophie Ecclestone maintains her top position in the latest ICC ODI bowling rankings. Australian cricketer Megan Schutt remains in second place, and Deepti Sharma is in third.
Orla Prendergast Climbs Eight Place In T20I Batters Rankings
Following Ireland’s dominant performance against Zimbabwe, Orla Prendergast and Laura Delany saw significant improvements in the latest T20I rankings.
Orla Prendergast climbed eight places to 38th in the batting rankings and four spots to 15th in the all-rounders’ list after a remarkable series performance. Laura Delany surged eight positions to 48th in the bowling category with eight wickets at an average of 8.75.
Despite the series outcome, Zimbabwe’s teenager Kelis Ndhlovu ascended 13 places to equal 46th in the T20I batter rankings and rose six spots to 11th in the all-rounder category. Ndhlovu’s commendable performance included 157 runs and four wickets in five matches.
England’s Sophie Ecclestone retained the top spot in the T20I bowler rankings, followed by India’s Deepti Sharma and Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal. The West Indies’ Hayley Matthews retained the top spot in the all-rounder rankings, with New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr in second place.
