IND vs BAN: Aakash Chopra Debunks False Narratives About India’s Fan Behavior During India-Pakistan Match

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra has condemned individuals who are criticizing Indian fans for their conduct during the India-Pakistan World Cup match. Aakash Chopra pointed out that they are spreading false narratives about India’s behavior during the event.

A massive crowd of 125,000 people at the Narendra Modi Stadium passionately cheered for the Indian team. A video has gone viral, showing the crowd enthusiastically chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ as Mohammad Rizwan made his way back to the pavilion following his dismissal.

No One Has Said Anything, Only Mickey Arthur Said – Aakash Chopra

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra responded to criticism of Indian fans’ behavior during the India-Pakistan match. Chopra highlighted the absence of any significant public criticism from Pakistan players.

“If you are getting a certain kind of behavior if you have a problem although no one has said anything, only Mickey Arthur said, I haven’t heard any Pakistan player speaking, but if anyone among them speaks, you might need to look slightly within that why it happened with only one guy. Why did it not happen with the others?”

“The entire story is not there in 20 or 30-second clips. India is an extremely inclusive country and we treat everyone with love and a lot of people will stand witness to that. If someone has an agenda, they can peddle it,” Aakash Chopra said.

Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur expressed disappointment about the crowd predominantly supporting Team India during the match. Arthur stated that he felt it was more like a bilateral event hosted by the BCCI than an ICC tournament.

It’s Not Necessary That’s The Truth – Aakash Chopra

Chopra emphasized that making judgments solely based on social media clips is misleading and not a true representation of reality. He advised against forming opinions based on limited and often out-of-context content.

“What you see is not always the entire truth and it’s more than half the time not the truth on social media. If you see one or two clips and you feel that’s what has happened with everyone, it’s not necessary that’s the truth,” he further added.

The Rohit Sharma-led team thrashed the Babar Azam-led team by seven wickets in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14. The visiting team couldn’t trouble the Indian side throughout the game, as they were outplayed in all three departments.
