IND vs BAN: Watch – Virat Kohli Registers 14 Runs In 1 Ball To Achieve Impossible Feat

 

India National Cricket Team batting superstar Virat Kohli achieved an impossible milestone in cricket in the 17th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday, October 19.

Kohli walked to bat after the India captain Rohit Sharma got out. The Indian skipper walked back to the pavilion after playing a quickfire innings. Rohit Sharma played an attacking brand of cricket from the word go and smashed the Bangladesh bowlers all over the park.

Rohit scored 48 runs off 40 balls, with 7 fours and 2 sixes, before getting dismissed in the 13th over. He was involved in a terrific 88-run partnership off 76 balls with the youngster Shubman Gill.

On the fourth ball of the 13th over, pacer Hasan Mahmud bowled a short ball to Rohit after getting hit for a six on the previous delivery. The Indian captain once again went for his trademark pull shot but was caught by Towhid Hridoy.

Kohli next came to bat and smashed the pacer for 14 runs in just one ball as he took advantage of the bowler’s lack of discipline. On the fifth ball of the 13th over, Kohli took a double by flicking the ball in the gap through mid-wicket. However, those 2 runs were converted into three as Mahmud had overstepped.

On the next delivery, Mahmud delivered the ball in Kohli’s arc and the batter smashed it past mid-on for a four. The siren for the no-ball was once again played as the bowler had overstepped for the second consecutive time.

Kohli then utilized the fifth delivery of the over properly and smashed the pacer for a beautiful six. This way he registered 14 runs in 1 ball to achieve an impossible feat.

Kohli then kept batting brilliantly and achieved a tremendous milestone in international. He surpassed Sri Lanka batting great Mahela Jayawardene to become the fourth-highest run-getter in the history of international cricket. He went past Jayawardene’s tally of 25957.
