They have won eight out of eight games as of now and they became the first team to qualify for the Semi-Finals. The domination that the Indian cricket team has shown in this World Cup has shocked everyone and they are considering this team as the number one contender for the trophy.
Former Australia Cricketer Brad Hogg posted a humorous tweet while praising the dominance of the Indian cricket team. He suggested that there is no need for a final and instead of a final, India should play against a Rest of The World XI and that would finish off the tournament.

India recently defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 243 runs. South Africa, which has been the second-best team in this World Cup was bowled out for a meagre total of 83 against India. India in this World Cup, has not conceded a total of 300 or above in any match. This shows that the way this Indian Team is choking the opponents with their on-point bowling is phenomenal.
Indian Team Will Play The World Cup Semi-Finals At Wankhede
The Indian Cricket Team has cemented their reign at the top of the table which means they will play the first Semi-Finals against the fourth-positioned team. The match will be played on 15th November at the historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai where they lifted the World Cup in 2011. Indian Team’s record in the semi-finals hasn’t been auspicious. They were eliminated in the semi-finals for two back-to-back World Cups in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
However, India will face the Netherlands in their last league stage match on 12th November at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. India has a great chance of winning this World Cup and going undefeated in the whole tournament. Only Australia and West Indies have won the World Cup without losing a single match in the tournament.
