IND vs PAK: 5 Wickets Lene Ke Baad: Shaheen Afridi Turns Down Selfie Request From Media Personnel Ahead Of Indo-Pak Clash

All eyes will be on Shaheen Afridi in the upcoming high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. The arch-rivals are set to lock horns against each other on Saturday (October 14) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Pakistan pace spearhead is one of the best bowlers in the world, but has looked out of form in the ongoing World Cup so far. He picked up 1 wicket for 37 runs in 7 overs against the Netherlands in Pakistan’s World Cup opener. In the second game against Sri Lanka, the left-arm pacer was the most expensive Pakistani bowler. He conceded 66 runs in 9 overs and picked up 1 wicket.

And he could not have for a better match to roar back to form. Shaheen Afridi has the potential to change the course of the game in a matter of few overs and Pakistan will be hoping that their star pacer gets back to his best form against the arch-rivals.

Shaheen Afridi delays selfie:

Ahead of the big clash against India, Shaheen Afridi has reportedly delayed taking a selfie with the media personnel and has promised to do so after doing well against the hosts. As per a report in RevSportz, a few members of the media asked the Pakistan star for a selfie as he made his way off the ground after training. In reply, he stated:

“Zaroor selfie loonga, but five wickets lene ke baad [I’d be happy to take one, but only after I’ve claimed five wickets].”

The last time India and Pakistan had played against each other, Shaheen Afridi was taken to the cleaners. In the Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup last month, he had conceded 79 runs while taking 1 wicket in 10 overs against the Men in Blue. India had gone on to win the game by a record margin of 228 runs.

The star pacer would be desperate to make amends in the forthcoming game. Meanwhile, both India and Pakistan have started their campaigns by winning their opening two games. Both teams will be keen to extend their winning start.
