In a video shared by the ICC on Instagram, Rohit Sharma emphasized that he focused on his significant role in the ongoing World Cup at home.
“It was very frustrating to not be part of the 2011 World Cup, but now I don’t want to look too much into it because I’ve got a huge role to play in this World Cup,” Rohit Sharma said.

Rohit emphasized how his past experiences and hardships have strengthened him mentally. He described his journey of hard work and determination as a pursuit of his dream to represent his country in the sport he loves.
“All the things that I’ve done there have actually made me mentally so strong that I know I can go through anything and overcome anything in life.”
“I’ve put in so much hard work all these years, and this is my dream for the country to play this sport. All the hardships that I’ve done in the past, going through tough times with my family. It has made me realize that nothing in life is impossible,” he added.

The Indian skipper expressed that being a part of the team is everyone’s dream. He emphasized the importance of trusting work ethic, instincts, and on-field performance to achieve success.
“That’s everyone’s dream to be part of the team and then to captain the team. It’s definitely icing on the cake. Things can change quite quickly. It’s written all over. You’ve got to believe in that, trust your work ethic, instincts, and what you’re doing on the field, and keep moving forward,” Rohit further stated.
