India Playing 11 vs Pakistan– ICC World Cup 2023, Match 12

India Playing 11 vs Pakistan– ICC World Cup 2023, Match 12. India take on Pakistan in the high-voltage ICC World Cup 2023 match in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14. The match starts at 2 pm and is the third game of the campaign for both teams. Pakistan are yet to beat India in World Cup history.

India are heading into this game on the back of consecutive wins against Australia and Afghanistan. They defeated Australia by six wickets and beat Afghanistan by 8 wickets. They are looking for a very strong unit at home.

Heading into this game, they have few selection headaches. Shubman Gill, who was reportedly down with dengue has started battling the nets. He is said to have batted a few hours at the nets in a bid to get himself ready for the match on the 14th. The management should ideally not rush with the youngster with Ishan Kisha proving that he is an able batter.

Given the importance of the game, India should also recall Ravichandran Ashwin back into the playing XI in place of Shardul Thakur who played the game against Afghanistan. Mohammed Shami should also replace Mohd Siraj in the playing XI after the latter proved to be very expensive in the match against Afghanistan. Siraj went for 76 runs at an economy of 8.40 The changes are more tactical as the inclusion of Shami and Ashwin can certainly bolster the batting attack.
