PAK vs AFG: Watch – Mohammad Nabi Warns Babar Azam For Run-Out At Non-Striker’s End

Pakistan captain Babar Azam had to arrive early at the crease during match 22 of the ICC World Cup 2023 against Afghanistan. The clash between the two Asian teams is taking place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. They had a decent start as Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq (17) added 56 runs for the opening partnership. But the latter yet again perished on the short ball, which brought skipper Babar Azam to the crease.

Babar Azam is looking in good touch as he opened his account with a four and has played some good shots. However, he was at the risk of getting out at the non-striker’s end as he was leaving the crease early in Chennai.

It happened ahead of the first ball of the 16th over when Mohammad Nabi came to bowl. He warned Babar and asked him to stay inside the crease. The Pakistan skipper however acknowledged that and got back inside the line.

Pakistan have batted well despite losing Imam-ul-Haq early. Abdullah Shafique in particular has done most of the damage as he scored good runs and has put his team at the top. He has smashed a vital half-century. Babar Azam also looks set for a big knock.

PAK vs AFG: Innings against Afghanistan crucial for Babar Azam going into World Cup 2023

Babar Azam has been under the firing line in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. He hasn’t done justice to his caliber as he has failed to rack up runs in the tournament. The Pakistan captain has managed just one fifty in the tournament, which came against India in Ahmedabad.

The innings against Afghanistan will be crucial for Babar Azam as it will do a lot of good to his confidence. The Pakistan skipper so far has looked pleasing to the eyes and would be hoping to hit a big ton today and reply to critics. Pakistan so far have played four games in the tournament and have won two. They suffered losses against India and Australia. Captain Babar would be hoping to take his team to glory in the game.
